Onyka Gairey

Onyka Gairey is a Black queer writer from Toronto. She believes that storytelling, and therefore writing, is humanity remembered. Onyka is an alumna of BIPOC TV & Film’s Kids’ TV Writing Incubator and The Nia Centre for the Arts’ Black Pen program. Onyka has published short stories in Penguin Random House’s anthology GRIOT and poems on the Art Gallery of Ontario’s online publication, FOYER. Onyka was the Script Coordinator on CBC’s MIXED UP and participated in an animated writing summit with Wildbrain. Onyka was the Project Management Coordinator for The Black Academy Skills Development Program at Insight Productions and assisted Black Canadian professionals in developing their expertise in the TV/Film industry. She is currently drafting work that centres around Black protagonists in extraordinary worlds and circumstances.

Allison Lownie

Allison Lownie

Allison Lownie is an animator from London, Ontario. She is an alumna of Sheridan College's Bachelor of Animation program. Allison has worked with youth-led charity organization, Music for Every Child, to make short animations with the aim of fundraising for Music Therapy programs for Special Eduation classes in the Toronto, Peel Region and Ottawa districts. Allison was a Layout Artist and Background Painter at Look Mom! Productions for an unreleased project, and later returned to work on their second season of Doomlands. Allison has enjoyed working with children as a Swim Teacher with the City of London, Art Lead at Toronto's Granite Club, and is looking forward to working with Forest City String School's Summer Music Camp as their Art Teacher.
