Skyla is a Painting Witch. She uses her artistic skills to create objects, change her surroundings, and of course, customize her Witchboarding outfit. She believes that anything is possible with a pop of colour! Skyla grew up Witchboarding with her older sister, Laurel. Inspired by their hero: The Wonderful Witch IZ, Champion of the Crowns. The sisters invented new rules and fun ways to play the game but they grew apart as Laurel became fixated on winning no matter the cost. After a brutal match between the two, Laurel defeated Skyla and stole a piece of her magic. From that moment on, Skyla was unable to use the colour pink in her magic paintings. When Skyla enters the Crown Competition, she learns that Witchboarding has become an entirely different game than the sport she loves. Witches who lose all their Victory Badges in the competition forfeit their magic forever. Skyla vows to change Witchboarding for the better by defeating the Crowns, one match at a time.

Grimm is a Nightmare Witch. She is ruthless and efficient at using her opponents’ fears against them without any regard for the damage she leaves behind. Grimm is a Witchboarding prodigy, with no losses under her belt, she has a terrifying command of her magic. Grimm is on track to become the newest member of the Crowns. In her mind, there are winners and losers, and only one category is acceptable for her talents. Grimm and Skyla clash immediately, becoming rivals destined to battle it out at the pinnacle of Crown Competition.

Iman is a Weather Witch. She can summon lightning storms, blizzards and even tornados, or at least she could. After a series of embarrassing losses, Iman is down to her last two Victory Badges. Her magic is running out. As a veteran Witchboarder and part-time tour guide, no one knows the rules of the game as well as Iman. She is ready to retire when Skyla flies into the arena with a bang.Skyla’s optimism, perseverance and unique play style remind Iman why she loves Witchboarding. Though her past remains a mystery, Iman is prepared to risk what's left of her magic to teach Skyla the ropes. Though she has little to say about winning, Iman intends to show Skyla how not to lose.

She is victory personified. As the current Champion, Laurel can alter the rules of Witchboarding. Her word is law. Disappointed with her predecessor's lack of vision, Laurel redefined the game by creating Victory badges that allow winners to take the magic of their opponents by force. Laurel commands the Crowns, an elite organization of Witches ready to execute her dream. Laurel’s methods may be cruel but she is only concerned with building a world where the strong are rewarded. Nothing and no one will get in her way.
